Steps Repertory Ensemble\, the resident contemporary dance company of Steps on Broadway\, continues its mission of giving opportunities to dancers to work in a repertory-based company through commissioning emerging and established American and international choreographers. The Ensemble has performed in concerts in New York and South Africa\, and will be appearing this summer in Southampton and as part of the Inside/Out Series at Jacob's Pillow. Under the guidance of Artistic Director Claire Livingstone\, former dancer with the Royal Ballet\, the Ensemble has grown to a company of 10-12 professional dancers with credits that include Armitage Gone! Dance\, Take Dance\, Brian Brooks Moving Company\, Sean Curran\, Stephen Petronio\, and more.
SHANNON GILLEN will show the world premiere of her \\"On Certainity\,\\" set to music by Frank Bretschneider and Ryoji Ikeda. Ms. Gillen was selected by choreographer Christopher Wheeldon as part of the Ensemble's Emerging Choreographers Project.

Simply titled THE FLOWER SHOW\, the exhibition is all about flowers as seen/perceived by 10 artists\, each of whom\, through a personal idiom\, presents a vision of the flower\, culminating in a varied interpretation of the motif. Oil\, acrylic paint\,watercolor\, pastel\, conte crayon\, colored pencil\, often used in specific combination\, are favored mediums. Approach to the subject ranges from representational\, impressionistic\, to abstraction.

The future stars of classical music join Paul Katz\, Merry Peckham\, Itzhak Perlman\, Roger Tapping\, Don Weilerstein\, and Vivian Hornik Weilerstein to perform chamber music masterworks in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of The Chamber Music Workshop. A reception with the artists will follow the concert.
